Dr. Biswajit Ghose is an Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce, Faculty of Commerce and Business, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. He holds an M.Com., PGDFM, and a Ph.D. in Commerce. He has more than nine years of teaching and research experience in the areas of Accounting and Finance across four central universities, including the University of Delhi, Tezpur University (Assam), Mizoram University (Mizoram), and Mahatma Gandhi Central University (Bihar).
His research interests include Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Corporate Sustainability, SDGs, and CSR. He has published extensively in reputed national and international journals indexed in Scopus and ABDC, including journals published by Sage, Emerald, Springer, and other leading publishers. His research contributions address important themes such as corporate capital structure, dividend policy, earnings management, carbon disclosure, sustainability performance, microfinance, and firm performance. In addition to journal publications, he has contributed chapters to edited volumes and has presented numerous research papers at national and international conferences.
Alongside teaching and research, Dr. Ghose has held several administrative responsibilities, including student welfare administration as Warden and Senior Warden of a hostel at Tezpur University. He has coordinated multiple academic programmes, including international conferences, faculty development programmes, and workshops on research methodology, data analysis, and report writing.
Dr. Ghose has delivered several invited talks as a resource person on topics covering research methodology, data analysis using statistical software, academic writing, capital structure research, and sustainability-related themes. His scholarly work has received several accolades, including multiple best paper awards at national and international conferences, as well as recognition under the Emerald Literati Awards for Excellence.
